Indirect Specialist (Commercial, services and IT)

Job Description

  • Build a category strategy that supports the delivery of local business unit AOP strategy for Indirects. 
  • Understands and manages the category contract requirements related to Indirect material purchases, Commercial, Services, IT (local and imported)
  • Liaise with Logistics team to track delivery and lead time of internationally procured goods.
  • Understands the KPI’s of local and foreign suppliers in terms of service, quality, and productivity and provides actionable data to Procurement Manager to deliver suppliers performance.
  • Supports the Procurement Manager in the execution of local key projects and overall PepsiCo strategy.
  • Supports the Procurement manager in the execution of legal contracts. 
  • Understands key cost drivers, industry trends and best practices to deliver strategy
  • Ensure all purchases are reviewed and approved in accordance with the purchase authorization matrix.
  • Ensure all contracts and purchase orders are in compliance with PepsiCo Global procurement policy, relevant acts, legal demands and ethical standards.
  • Executes appropriate governance, project and change management. 
  • Responsible for preparation of RFQ’s, RFP’s, vendor selection, tenders, purchase orders, and the negotiation of awards and commodities, as well as delivery of procured goods and services. 
  • Registering vendors on ERP.
  • Maintain supplier master data and spend, for the services and IT category.
Key Relationships:
Within Global Procurement 
  • Partners with Procurement manager to execute local categories strategies
  • Partners with the BU stakeholders to drive globally leveraged, locally relevant strategies, share best practices and highlight opportunities and risks. 
Other PepsiCo Functions
  • Partners with local functions to drive AOP
  • Partners with local Marketing, commercial and project team to accomplish Indirect strategic objectives. 
  • Manage external interaction with key suppliers 

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in business management, Procurement, logistics.
  • 3 years of experience working in procurement. 
  • Strong critical thinking and strategic skills. 
  • Excellent negotiations skills. 
  • Strong attention to detail, accuracy and organizational skills with ability to be flexible and work well under pressure 
  • Commercial contracting 
  • Legal control and application 
  • Ability to work collaboratively
  • Import and Export experience 
  • Result oriented, organised and able to meet deadlines 
  • Skilled in spreadsheet programs
  • Hands-on experience using ERP systems
